The basis

Every row is 5 seconds of 16:9 video at the undiscounted list price. The first table covers new shots made from text or a picture, with no input video. Credit platforms are priced at their regular monthly plan with every credit used: Higgsfield Plus at $59 for 1,200 credits, and Kling.ai Standard at $8.80 for 660 credits. Higgsfield shows the same figure in euros to visitors in Europe, so those buyers should read its rows in euros. Several platforms were running discounts on 2 November 2026, the day these prices were captured. Discounts come and go, so the tables leave them out.

Kling.ai does not publish a credit rate for Kling 4.0. Our estimate assumes its credits track the API’s units, based on the 60 credits it charged for one 5-second edit at 720p.

Wan is cheaper for new shots, Kling for edits

On a pay-as-you-go API at 1080p, Wan 3.0 costs $1.00 for 5 seconds and Kling 4.0 about $1.18. At 720p the gap widens to $0.50 against $0.79. Editing reverses the order, because Kling charges a lower per-second rate when you give it a video, while Wan charges the same rate for every second going in and coming out.

Cost of editing a 5-second clip: 5 seconds in, 5 seconds out, 10 seconds billed.

Kling 4.0 · Kling.ai≈ $0.80≈ $1.2060 credits charged at 720p; our estimate of 90 at 1080p
Kling 4.0 · Kling API, fal$0.94$1.41$0.094 and $0.141 per second of input plus output
Wan 3.0 · Alibaba Model Studio, fal$1.00$2.00$0.10 and $0.20 per second of input plus output
Seedance 2.5 · BytePlus ModelArk≈ $1.38≈ $3.40$6.40 and $7.00 per million tokens, counting input and output

So the per-second rate on an edit is misleading: the bill covers both clips. Trim your source to the shot you are changing before you upload it. On Kling, an input longer than the output adds to the bill, and an input shorter than the output is still charged at twice the output length.

Where you buy matters most for Seedance

Wan 3.0 has almost one price: every API we checked lists $1.00 at 1080p. Seedance 2.5 runs from about $2.84 on BytePlus, ByteDance’s own platform, to about $5.69 on fal, for the same clip.

Kling goes the other way. On fal and WaveSpeed you pay Kling’s own list rate per second, with no package to buy. Buying from Kling directly means prepaid units that expire. Its 180-day packages start at $510, and a limited number of 30-day packs start at $10. The biggest listed package brings a unit down to about $0.149, from a list price of about $0.157.

When a plan beats paying as you go

The Higgsfield rows are the cheapest for Wan and Kling, but only if you use the credits. The plan costs $59 whether you make one clip or seventy. Compared with fal at 1080p:

  • Wan 3.0: the plan wins after 59 clips in a month, about 1,030 of the 1,200 credits.
  • Kling 4.0: the plan wins after about 50 clips, about 820 credits.
  • Seedance 2.5: the plan wins against fal after about 11 clips, but never against BytePlus, even with every credit used.

These numbers will move

Higgsfield quoted 5 credits for 5 seconds of Kling 4.0 at 1080p on 24 October. On 2 November the same quote was 16.25 credits, more than three times as much in nine days. MiniMax H3 Max on fal is also due to rise on 16 November, when a discount ends. Treat this table as a dated snapshot and get a fresh quote before you budget a project.

What this table does not say

It does not say which model looks best, and a cheap take you throw away is not cheap. The price per second only becomes a real cost once you multiply it by the number of takes a shot needs. For quality, see which tools kept the motion when we replaced people and places, where Kling 4.0 and Wan 3.0 both did, and the talking-head test, where Seedance 2.5 kept the person best.

This table leaves out two platforms we covered in September. Dreamina publishes Seedance 2.5 credits only at 720p, and Comfy’s partner-node pricing does not list Kling 4.0, so neither could fill these rows.

How to use it

  • For new shots with no monthly plan, start with Wan 3.0, and draft at 720p for half the price.
  • For editing existing footage, price Kling 4.0 first.
  • For Seedance 2.5, compare BytePlus with your current platform, because the gap can pay for extra takes.
  • Check one paid run against your invoice. A published rate can leave out the resolution you need.

We read these first-party pages on the date above. Higgsfield credits and Atlas Cloud prices came from each platform’s own quote tool, which has no public page for a given quote. Token rates were converted with each page’s formula at 1280 × 720 and 1920 × 1080.

We’re tracking this

Prices move weekly, which is the whole problem. easyai.video keeps model choice inside the workflow, so the model can change without changing your steps.
